Circuit n°22 : Les sources de la Coquille
Moloy is a charming village in the heart of the very green Ignon valley, which you will leave to reach Léry. A climb up a small wooded road will take you to Echalot, where the modern castle overlooks the pond that gives birth to the river Brevon. A few hills further on, you'll descend to Etalante.
Visit the spectacular cirque of the sources de la Coquille (a listed natural site), remarkable for its picturesque appearance, picnic area and exceptional flora with mountain species of flowers. The two wash-houses at La Douix and La Chaume are well worth a visit.
The magnificent Coquille valley leads to Aignay-le-Duc. Its church, a miniature of a 13th-century Gothic church, and its washhouse will catch your eye.
A pleasant climb via Moitron will take you to Larçon, with its golf course and farmhouse restaurant set in the unspoilt countryside of the Châtillonnais region.
Once you've passed the summit of the côte des Suchots, the highest point on the route, all that's left to do is descend into the national forest as far as Moloy.
